Temple of Victory Church Articles of Faith

1. We believe in the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God. The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Ghost. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives!  2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:(20-21)
2. We believe God exists as one substance in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority. Genesis 1:(1-27), Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7
3. We believe God created two genders, Male and Female which are assigned by God at Conception, and that marriage is to be between One Man and One Woman. 1 Corinthians 7:(1-40), Leviticus 20:13, 1 Corinthians 6:(9-10), Romans 1:(26-27), Genesis 1:(26-27), Genesis 2:(7-25), Jeremiah 1:5

4. We believe that life begins at conception and every child born and unborn should be protected and have the right to live. Jeremiah 1:5, Exodus 20:13, Proverbs 6:(16-17)
5. We believe we are justified when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ.  Mark 1:5, Acts 13:39, Romans 5:1
6. We believe man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. John 3:16 & 36, Romans 6:23, 1 John 2:25 & 5:(11-13), Revelation 20:15
7. We believe sanctification to be a definite work of grace subsequent to salvation.       John 15:2, 17:(16-17), Ephesians 5:(25-27), 1 John 1:9
8. We believe in the imminent, personal, pre-millennial second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! Acts 1:(10-11), 1 Thessalonians 4:(13-18), Revelation 1:7
9. We believe in the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit and encourage our people to so live that these gifts may be manifest in their lives. 1 Corinthians 12:(1-12)
10. We believe in divine healing for the body, but we do not condemn medical science.   Acts 3:(2-12), 9:(32-43), 5:(15-16), James 5:14
11. We believe The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. 12. We require all our Ministers to speak the same thing and that there be no division among us in Doctrine concerning our Articles of Faith. 1 Corinthians 1:10
